I've Been Tagged!

A.The rules are posted at the beginning.
B. Each Person answers questions about their sweethearts
C. At the End of the post, the person then tags people and posts their names; then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged.

So, my friend Wendy tagged me to answer some questions about my wonderful hubby!

What is your husbands name? Nathan Joseph

How long have you guys been married? 2 years

How long did you date? dated for a month and engaged for four months...

How old is he? 24

Who eats more sweets? we both eat way too many, but I would have to say probably Nathan

Who said I love you first? Nathan

Who is taller? Nathan

Who can sing the best? neither of us could sing to save our lives, but I think I'm a little bit better than he is

Who is smarter? I'd say it's pretty equal-it just depends on what we're talking about

Who does the laundry? that would definitely be me, but I'm having a hard time balancing a laundry basket on my huge stomach so he carries the laundry downstairs to the washer and dryer for me...and then makes me do it.

Who pays the bills? both of us. we really don't have any kind of bill paying system....we should probably have one, huh?

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? me unless I get scared at night (that happens often...I'm kind of weird) and then I make Nathan trade me spots, so I don't have to sleep by the door.

Who mows the lawn? lawn? yeah, those are for people who are lucky enough to not live in an apartment

Who cooks dinner? I would say me, but I don't know if throwing a Stouffer's lasagna in the oven counts as cooking

Who drives? I HATE driving, so it's definitely not me

Who is the first to admit when they are wrong? usually me...Nathan doesn't really do anything wrong...chessy as that may sound, it's pretty true. But, I like to blame everything I do wrong on the pregnany hormones.

Who kissed who first? Nathan kissed me

Who asked who out first? neither really...we had a weird dating experience. well, not weird-just different

Who wears the pants? usually me...when it comes to money though, Nathan kind of takes control

So, now I tag Shyann and Shara to tell us all about their wonderful husbands.

Daddy's Girl

I have been meaning to blog about my dad for awhile now, but have put it off for lots of different reasons. For those of you who don't know, my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer in April of 2007. He was given about 6-8 months to live, but made it about a year and half before he passed away on September 7th. It has been a tough year and half and an even tougher month as my brother and sister and I have had to deal with him being gone, but a lot of positive things have come out of this tough situation. My dad never ceased to amaze me with his positive attitude and his determination to beat the cancer. At his funeral the minister talked about how it was my dad's fear that his children would blame God for this horrible thing that was happening, and it was a great comfort to me to know that my dad didn't blame God. Everything truly does happen for a reason, and while I don't know all of the reasons that this has happened or what exactly I'm supposed to learn from this trial, I was able to see a different side of my dad and I was able to have a relationship with him that I haven't had over the past several years. I think about him everyday and I'll never stop missing him, but I know that Heavenly Father will continue to bless me with the strength to get through this until the day that I see my dad again.
