So, to start I just want to say that I am sorry, but there won't be any pics yet. My mom was the photographer and she has all the pics on her camera, so when she comes over tonight I'll download them all and put some on here. I'll try to make this short because labor stories might not be so interesting to everyone. Nathan and I went in on Tuesday morning at 6am for the induction. By 6:45 they had ruptured my membranes (I sound fancy, huh?) and at noon I was still only dilated to a one. (That's what I was when I went in.) Well, I'm a wimp, so I got my epidural then even though the nurse didn't think I needed one yet. Easy for her to say. She wasn't the one in labor. At about 5:00 I was dilated to a five and ten minutes later the doctor came in touch check me and I was an 8. Well, Maya wasn't having too much fun in there and her heart rate was all over the place. They mentioned doing a c-section which I was all for at that point because I was miserable and exhausted, but the doc said to wait and I ended up being fine. At nine I was finally dilated to a 10 and I could finally start pushing. Yay! The epidural was finally working at that point after kind of being dumb all day, and I could not feel a thing. I didn't think I would ever be able to push her out, but after about 45 minutes at 9:48 after 15 hours of labor out came our beautiful little Maya May. Well, I have to admit I'm not the best mom and I totally thought she looked like a slimy little frog, but she totally cutened up later. I'm probably the only mom on the face of the planet that didn't think my baby was the most beautiful thing in the world, but that's ok. Anyway, she's a short fat little thing at 8 lbs. 70z. and is 19.5 inches and she didn't lose any weight in the hospital. She has an appetite like her daddy. So, that's our story. We're so glad to be home and feel so blessed to have a healthy beautiful little girl. We'll post pictures as soon as we have the chance!

Congrats!!!
I don't think you know me very well. I know who you are but I don't think we've ever really talked. (I'm Amy Phillips sister Jeanette) I grew up with the Hawks so I'm so excited to hear that you and Nathan had your little girl. Congratulations! I'm so happy for you both. I hope you don't mind me checking in to see how you are all doing.
We also can' wait to see the pictures. Looking forward to hearing all about the first nights of being home with her. Hope everyhing is going well for you and healing. Love you!
I'm so excited to see her! Glad she is doing so well. How are you doing? How are you guys adjusting to having her home? Give me a call when you can.

Micah, Congratulations!!!! I love your story. When Tyler was first born, I couldn't hold him because I'd had a c-section and I remember they held him over my head and there was blood dripping off him and I was totally worried it was going to land on me. I thought, "There must be something wrong with me, he's my baby I should love his blood dripping on me..." But it totally scared me! I can't wait for pics!
HOOORAY MICAH!! Isn't it crazy that just a few years ago we were living over at Brookside eating frozen Chicken Cordon Bleus and now we are all mommas?? CRAZY!! I coulnd't be more thrilled for you! Can't wait to see pictures!
